Vote on the Neighbourhood Plan

A referendum will be held on Thursday 15th September 2016 to decide on the question below:

‘Do you want Isle of Wight Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Brighstone Parish to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’

The NOTICE OF REFERENDUM on the IWC Planning website says that a person is entitled to vote in the referendum if on 30 August 2016 he or she is entitled to vote in a local government election in the referendum area and his or her qualifying address for the election is in the referendum area.

New applications to be included on the register of electors for this referendum must be received no later than Tuesday 30th August 2016.

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5 pm on Wednesday, 31st August 2016.

Applications to vote by proxy at this referendum must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5 pm on Wednesday, 7th September 2016.
